“Great inexpensive leg protection. I’ve looked at motorcycle jeans for a while now but they can be pretty pricey for a decent cut and fit. The bowtex long-johns are a cheap alternative that will protect your skin on those daily commutes and comfortable enough to wear all day under your normal everyday jeans. Firstly they are well insulated in winter conditions and are an absolute confidence builder knowing your skin will remain intact if the worst were to happen. I bought xs as I have short legs and the fit is very snug, especially on the lower leg but like a good pair of jeans they loosen after a few days of wear. As others have said the waist comes up very high (above the naval) and take a little bit of getting used to. Overall with the addition of the inserts for armoured protection these are an absolute winner if you want to wear your favourite jeans or trousers with the added confidence of being as protected as you can be on the roads.”

“These long johns are ideal and keep me safe when I just want to ride in my jeans. They are accurate to their description on Urban Rider and fairly priced. Its also worth mentioning of course that they are comfortable.”

“Fit like standard long johns. The back panel runs of Kevlar runs quite high, but I guess that’ll come in handy in case of a slide! Fits true to size, underneath standard jeans. I think this’ll be a favourite (once I get used to the high back!)”

“Super comfortable, and a great moderator of temperature, I never felt too warm or cold, plus, you can wear your normal clothes on top so no one knows you’re protected or wearing motorbike gear, always useful when meeting friends for lunch etc”
