“Considered buying these but was concerned that there is no CE rating on them.I found this online" Since April 2018, all motorcycle clothing has been classed as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), a move that legally requires ALL manufacturers selling into the UK and European Union to test their products in accordance with set standards, and to present clear information on the results with a CE marking". I contacted Bowtex to check and their reply was" We have been working this year with the homologation and all our products will be CE rated for next year ;)" The videos of them being tested to no set standard does not convince me.I want to see their performance/safety against industry standards so I can compare them with other brands.I don't want to find out that the manufacture or materials are sub standard following an accident. I will await their results and suggest that urban rider makes it clear that these have not been tested to industry standards.”

“I bought a pair of the Bowtex leggings in yellow and after one ride the stitching went around the pockets. Not good for a product that simply should not do that.”

“Id been wanting some form of lower body protection for a little while but I just couldnt decide on a pair of jeans, I knew I wanted them to look as much like my regular jeans as possible, but theres quite the array of options to choose from. I finally settled on a pair and was about to buy them but realised Id really rather they came in grey. It was then that I realised that there had to be another option. There are lined jeans and single layer jeans, couldnt I just get a set of the lining to wear under my regular jeans? Thats exactly where these leggings come in. I was fairly impressed watching Bowtexs video demoing a guy being dragged behind a motorbike in a pair of these, Id love to see them fully destruction tested but it was enough for me. I ordered a small and as far as the fit goes, they hold the armour in the places its supposed to be. Thats important to me. They dont fit perfectly, Im 59 and Ive got a 28-30" waist, the waist band is a little high and also a little large, but it doesnt interfere with the armour to fold the band down one fold and that way its not riding up above my jeans. Theyre tight over my legs which, while making it a little bit of a struggle to get them on and off, does a great job of keeping the armour in place which is whats really important. With the recommended SAS-TEC armour in place, they fit (fairly discretely under a pair of slim to skinny fit jeans). And since getting them Ive worn them every time I ride and theyre plenty comfortable on as well as off the bike. If youre the sort to not want to be restricted to one or two pairs of riding jeans, Id definitely recommend a pair of these as a very versatile addition to your gear.”

“Fitting is TIGHT but the product is overall very good. Make sure to order size above or perhaps even two sizes. (Atleast thats how I found them)”
