“I tried some trainer type boots first, but they werent for me. I returned them and ordered a pair of Merlin Gobi Chukka boots in brown and they are perfect for me, they look like normal daily desert boots, sizing is true, 8 is an 8, theyre very comfy off the bike but feel sturdy and safe on the bike with protected toe, heel and ankles + a really solid sole and neat protector to stop damaging the boot with gear changing. I am not expecting them to be waterproof but then i only take the bike out in good weather! As always the staff at Urban Rider were a joy to deal with as in they will sort any problems/exchanges out with no quibbles.”

“I often have morning meetings right after I arrive at work and don’t have a chance to change boots/shoes beforehand. My workplace is really casual so I can get away with riding jeans and non-riding looking shoes. These Gobi Chukkas are perfect. They are as stylish as my other chukkas, don’t look like armored for riding, and are supremely comfortable. Sizing was spot on. I typically wear a 43 (9.5-10US) and ordered UK 9. If I had to pick something to critique, it would be that the laces are much longer than they need to be. Minor, huh? I’m really happy with these riding shoes and would definitely recommend to a friend.”
