“Very happy with this jacket. It was comfortable as soon as I put it in and feels great on the bike. Quality and materials seem top notch. Was actually coolish when I first rode in it so I could really feel where the air was coming through. One thing I did notice that I’d mention to Merlin; both left chest inside pockets are non-breathable materials. So essentially the whole left chest the air flow is blocked. The pocket inside the chest zipper seems to be more of a waterproof type fabric so maybe that’s what they were going for there but the lower inside chest pocket could easily be the same mesh as the rest of the jacket and be just as functional and still allow air through.”

“Style and function. A jacket made with a purpose, to allow air to flow and that it does, keeping one cool with a stylish and practical jacket. Merlin runs true to size for me. A 44"-inch chest and their XL is a great fit. A riding jacket made for Southern California where temperatures reach 90 to over 100 degrees for at least 4 months out of the year in my area.”

“I’m amazed by this jacket. I think it looks awesome, the materials feel super high quality, the full set of D3o armor is a nice touch (although I’m probably gonna switch those for level 2), I love the vintage/retro look, and the sizing is perfect. I’m 196cm with athletic build and wide shoulders. The chigwell lite fits perfectly in size L. Sleeves are long enough, actually the perfect length (always a concern at my height). Since it’s a hot weather jacket I’m only gonna be wearing a T- shirt underneath and the jacket has a snug but comfortable fit and there’s enough room that it doesn’t feel tight. Shoulders are wide enough and it’s not the least bit flappy while riding. It’s soooo ventilated and light that it takes some getting used to while riding since you hardly feel it’s a motorcycle jacket. I’ve been wearing heavy leather jackets all my life while riding and that’s probably why it took me a little longer to get used to it but damn is is worth it on a hot day. To me this jacket is the absolute best for what it’s intended, and I’d happily buy it again. Thanks Merlin! Thanks Urban Rider”
