“Looks great and moves air very well. Dropped to 4 stars for some minor issues with the snaps along the waist not fully clasping, and the inside armor liner has sharp Velcro that sometimes pokes your arm.”

“My first Merlin jacket. Impressed by the quality of the finished product. The shoulder, elbow and back pads increase the feeling of protection of this mesh jacket. The size is perfect. Thanks again Urban Rider for the sizing advice. It's full summer now in Mauritius with daily temperatures of above 35°C. Seems like I'll be using this jacket very often”

“The jacket looks great, really comfy to wear and nice and breezy/cooling in the heat. Haven’t worn it outside of summer yet. Price is excellent considering the quality, and safety rating and that it includes elbow/shoulder armour as well as back armour. I’m 6 feet tall and got a small as wanted it to be more fitted than flappy - was concerned the chest might be tight but it is comfortably spacious - the waist is the more constraining dimension (I’m waist 30 and not sure it would comfortably cope with much bigger than that). First order from Urban Rider and very impressed with website and delivery (and product).”

“I really like this jacket. It’s a lot heavier in both terms of weight and feel than I was anticipating, but not in a bad way. It flows a good deal of air when you are moving, but that being said, the weight can make it a little stuffy off the bike or at stop. All that is fine really, because it’s fully armoured and looks great. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars are zippers in the cuffs of the sleeves. Merlin put zipper in the midst of the button cinch, which just makes cinching the sleeve uncomfortable and just not very usable. If they had moved the zipper just outside the cinch or to the back, it would probably eliminate the problem.”
