“Fantastic Trousers, great quality. Here's the very important thing though. Unlike Merlin's jackets, which are sized 1 bigger from those listed, the opposite is the case with Merlin's pants. You need to go up at least one size from your regular one with their trousers. I'm a 32" waist/34"leg(Medium/long)normally and even a Large was a struggle to get on TBH. I've actually opted for XL in these, because I wear with lots of layers underneath over winter. I don't think Andrew or Tim have mentioned this anywhere but, Urban Rider normally gets sizing bang-on...”

“I have only had these as low as the mid-50s in dry weather, but the quality makes me think they'll perform in more adverse conditions. I'm a 33-34" waist and the XL fit well despite not being my regular size--Use Urban Rider's guide rather than Merlin's. Mates well with my Merlin jacket. The belt-loop placement is odd and I may begin using suspenders. The garment tag says the liner is removeable but it is not--Urban Rider's description doesn't make that claim. Nonetheless, I like these pants, looking forward to riding in them later this fall.”

“I ordered the Merlin Lombard trousers according to the sizing information but found them too small around the waist (I am 33" and ordered the medium). I arranged for a return via a DPD drop off and the money was returned within a few days. I only hope the size I need coes into stock soon!”

“Overall good. Size is snug. Lining cannot be removed to wash. D3O sometimes folds over in pockets Love the boot openings. Olive colour is nice, more like brown”

“These are really well made and good looking trousers. But for me they just didn't fit. I like Merlin clothing i have a leather jacket and a Barton wax cotton (which the Lombards look good with) but the fit on these mimic many other brands now. I'm 178cm 90Kg with a 34" waist (33 Levi 501, 34 Kuhl, Rokker and Resurgence ) I optimistically ordered L They were a lovely fit except I could barely do the waist up and the rise is short so bending forward (as you would on many bikes) leaves lower back open to cold. So they have been returned and the low rise has stopped me from ordering an XL. If they fit you they are lovely winter trousers (non removable lining) so don't be put off trying them.”

“I love this trousers. Very comfortable and looks great. For a skinny person like me the sizing was spot on and I didn't need to go size up as suggested. I paired them with Yoxall II jacket. Very pleased with overall look and feel. Highly recommend.”

“I'm loving these pants for the most part, but I feel like Merlin just slightly missed the mark. The fit seems spot on. I have a 30" waist and purchased the small. Things to note are that these are a slim fit pant at least in my case. (Athletic build 5'11" 165lbs.) The lining is not removable, and that there aren't any belt loops on the front of the pant. I added two and now my belt doesn't slide up when I sit down. All in all I am pleased with them and would recommend them.”
