“I ride inside an urban jungle and leaving my helmet on the bike is risky, so carrying my helmet is the safest option. However, while walking through crowds and tight spaces, I need my gear to all fit inside one bag, especially my helmet, so I can leave both of my hands free. I previously used a backpack duffle to solve those problems, but the annoying part is while riding, the duffle created a lot of drag while flapping around in the wind. When I came across the MAX 28, I was happy that it was able to solve all those problems and the quality lives up to its name. I have not ride with the backpack under torrential rain. However, the weatherproofing protection did keep all my belongings dry during rides between 30mins to 1 hour under moderate rain. One great feature the bag also offer is a pocket for a hydration pack. It is a great addition for 35°C/95°F humid summer rides. One thing to keep in mind is there isnt an exit for the drinking tube to reach outside the bag, like the R15/R35, so I just left a zip exit as close to the top flap as possible on the main compartment and clip the 2 zip strings together, so the bag wouldnt unzip accidently during the ride. It has worked pretty well so far. Now to the "but" part. The backpack does not have quick access pocket(s), so if you have your helmet inside the backpack, it becomes quite difficult to unzip and reach inside the front compartment for your daily belongings, ie. phone, wallet, keys, since the helmet compresses the front compartment. For me, it is not a deal breaker. In winter, I tend to carry my daily belongs inside my jacket. In summer, I carry a waist pouch.”

“Just picked up the Kriega Max 28 and am very happy with my purchase. Kriega items arent cheap, but theyre built like tanks. I also own the messenger bag, plus a couple cubes for storing wallets, garage door openers, etc. The Max 28 has a similar look, but works better for sportbike riding, since it stays glued to my back. In terms of storage, it will fit my Dell 15" laptop, but can only roll the top once. It can also fit my Shoei RF1200 helmet (size M). This one is a keeper!”
