“Having lived with these trousers for over a year now a believe I am qualified to write a considered review. I have dropped a Star for reasons I will discuss. Despite my issues I would definitely buy them again. I read another review about a gentleman suggesting these rousers are waterproof. Do not be mislead as I presume the gentleman toured Scotland in a car or on a Honda Goldwing as these trousers are definitely not water proof or water resistant in any shape or form. I ride an unfaired bike and the briefest of moderate rain showers has left me soaked through. They soak up water like a sponge. They are definitely extremely comfortable off the bike and exude quality. On the bike they can initially be a little restrictive around the knees with armour fitted. As I fell between two sizes I ordered two black pairs in L and XL. I was surprised to find the two pairs were different colours. One pair was black and the other pair was grey! Fortunately the grey pair which fitted the best was my preference colour wise. If you do a Google image search for these trousers you will see what I mean. So, if you definitely want a dark black perhaps you can stipulate this in the order. One of the pair arrived with a cloth bag for the braces and a small strip of leather to use between the buttons on the back of the trousers when not wearing the braces. For some reason the second pair were missing these items. These are quality control issues I would not expect. I believe these trousers are designed to be worn inside high adventure boots and as such they are not very long in the leg. I am 5’7” with a 29.5” inside leg and they are not long enough to stay tucked into my mid height TCX Hero Waterproof Boots (excellent boots by the way). I kept the Size L but I note that all the sizes on the sizing chart seem to have the same short inside length measurement of 74cm/29”. This brings me to the next issue in that when worn over my boots the zippers at the bottom rear of the legs do not quite fully close as the lower leg is very slim (designed to fit inside high adventure boots?). After the first eighty miles I had a hole in the lining because a zipper rode up and the flapping lower trouser leg wore against a bit of exposed Velcro on my boots. So I can’t tuck them into my boots and can just get them over my boots and no more. Despite the blurb mine were made in Portugal. If you like the look of these trousers I would recommend you take advantage of Urban Rider's excellent free return process try a pair.”

“Just received my Rascal trousers! Wow, initial impression was I just got a bespoke item even though I was the perfect fit for a large size from the company. Probably due to the unique craftsmanship not found often anymore. Not only do they look made to order, but the comfort for a motorcycle safety trouser is unbelievable as well. My first ride took me from mild 50's to the 70's inland and back and I felt comfort temperature wise the whole day. I fell upon these while searching Youtube and Urban Rider site came up. I really enjoyed their reviews, being both thorough and captivating. As a total bonus for both of us, I have enjoyed this purchase, made another(Knox Armor Pro 3, and plan on more Knox. Living in Northern California I expected delays in shipping, but the Knox was in stock and showed up promptly. Especially nice since it is not available here yet. Thank you, Barry”

“These are simply THE most COMFORTABLE pants I have EVER worn. Period. I wore them when it was around 20F and life was good. The liner is quite soft and quiet, and it doesnt catch on my leg hair nor irritates it at all. 100% of the time it's comfortable 10p% of the time.”

“Had my eye on these for a couple of years as they are pricey but decided to give them a try. Gotta say, they are as comfy and well made as I'd read. You do not want to take them off...ever. I am slim build, 31-32in waist and 5'11" and the small fits perfectly. Leg sits at the ankles as they are leather and thick so you don't want excess material at the bottom. They are top quailty and fit perfectly. They only have pockets for knee armour so I have paired them with Knox Pro action shorts, meaning I now have knee, great hip and coccyx protection with these. Enjoy!”
