“We bought an attractive, stripped-pine, floor -standing lamp from an antique/bric-à-brac shop over 20 years ago. The large wine-coloured shade which accompanied it weakened in its frame joints and progressively became unmanageable so that the whole lamp was unsightly and no longer used. Without expectations, a little internet research reached ULS and we were able to find an attractive, modern-looking shade which was very helpfully available in a wide range of colours. The excellent value lamp holder needed to support the shade seems likely to protect the frame of the new shade from unnecessary strain. Our lamp is in use again! Excellent customer service too by the way.”
