“Very heavy shelves as solid oak. I thought there would be more of a grain on the wood but they are very plain. Could have bought much cheaper oak effect shelves that look nicer so disappointed.”

Hello Lesley, Thank you for the review. Each shelf is completely different and varies in terms of grain, knots and colour which we do state on our website due to each product being a natural product. Although you can buy cheaper 'oak effect' shelves online - our shelves are high quality solid oak and are a natural product which go through a rigorous process in our workshop. Our solid oak shelves are sanded to a smooth finish. We do have similar shelves in an aged style which have a brushed finish to raise the grain, perhaps this would have been more suited to you if you wanted to see the grain in the shelves. - We also offer a 14 day return policy if customers are not happy with the product should you wish to not keep the shelves. “Excellent product and customer service. The floating oak shelves look very nice in our downstairs toilet. Standard length shelves were cut to my required length. Very speedy delivery despite order being placed on the last day for guaranteed delivery before Christmas (in the event the shelves arrived well in time). I would highly recommend and would certainly use this company again if I need further such shelves.”
