“One end of the beam was not cut square and it was not 'finished/smoothed' right to the end, about 2 inches short . So I cut off these 2 inches and made it square at the same time. As stated on the website, there were some cracks in the beam, but in my opinion these add to the effect (only saying this because if you are looking for 'perfection' then these beams are probably not for you). Even though i had to a little bit of finishing work on the beam i still think it is good value for money .. it looks great, lovely oak colour.”
