“A nicely worked oak mantle with an attractive knot, the hanging however was a complete nuisance due to the keyhole fittings on the back being at different heights! also very rusty, I reported this to a representative at the company who assured me that he would sort something out. I have not heard anything back. Disappointed.”

Good afternoon, Thank you for your kind words about your oak beam, we really do pride ourselves in the quality of our oak. After we spoke on the phone, I read your email. From what you said in your email I assumed the issue had been resolved. I am very sorry for the misunderstanding and not getting back to you sooner. In regards to the fixing brackets it is a new style of fixing we started to use. After receiving feedback about the fixing brackets we have contacted the manufacturer about the rust on the brackets. Although the rust should not affect the strength of the fixing we have decided to opt for a more heavy duty fixing which will be supplied with future beams.
