“This is a lovely piece of furniture which I bought to complement a smaller Toulouse chest of drawers in our bedroom, purchased earlier this year. No complaints whatsoever about the item, but the delivery left a lot to be desired. The first chest of drawers arrived at just after 7am in the morning, having been contacted by the delivery people the evening prior to advise of the time and obtain our exact location. Two very polite men then brought the furniture into the house and carried it up to the bedroom for me. On this 2nd occasion I received a text message the afternoon before stating delivery would be at 0630hrs. The phone call from Top Furniture advising me of the delivery date the week before stated it would be between 7 and 10am I messaged back to the mobile number asking for delivery not before 7am but received no response so then had to ensure I was up early enough the following morning in case delivery was at 6.30. The van actually turned up at 6.50am and 2 men brought the boxed item into the hallway, turned around and left as quickly as they arrived, with no offer of assistance to move it any further. They barely even spoke, other than to request a signature. The furniture remained in my hallway for the next 24hrs until I could get help moving it upstairs. This was a completely different experience to the first time, and one which has tainted my opinion somewhat for the service offered.”
