“This is a handsome looking chair with a supportive back due to the curved rails that fit into the natural shape of the spine. The seat cushion is comfortable, at least for the hour at a time that I sit in front of my computer. The waxed finish allows the grain of the wood to show without the reflections of a shiny varnish but I would caution you about the colour of the seat. It is a very dark brown - almost black - until you get it into direct sunlight. Another small niggle is that the exposed surfaces of, say, the arms are smooth whereas the undersurface is significantly less so. Overall it is a fine chair.”

“Delighted with the chair - my husband has Alzheimer’s and is very unsteady on his feet. The district nurse recently suggested a dining chair with arms for safety when getting up and to prevent him holding onto the table which your chair does. It’s light yet strong and the slatted back matches our existing chairs.”
