“Works as well as I had hoped, very satisfied. NVMe SSDs make the max. speed possible on a Pi in Gen3 mode (~850MByte/s) and even other PCIe cards work via M.2 to PCIe adapter (tested mostly SATA controller cards, so far). The Pi getting power form the board, and the board being powered by 12V, is another plus, so it's quite easy to get high wattage PSUs and save to say everything gets enough power - I, at least, had no issues when running load tests (stressing PCIe bandwidth (NVMe SSD + SATA SSDs) + CPU (clocked at 3GHz)).”
