“these could be more consistent, i ordered 3 and one was much more sensitive than the rest. And it is quite fiddly to adjust sensitivity. In addition to all that you could probably get a similar sensor that does the same for much cheaper.”
“Great little device. The only small issues are that you can only use either digital or analog connection but not both at the same time, plus the analog signal limits are a lot narrower than the full range of a pico analog input pin.”
“These Hall sensor’s are really good quality and the adjustable sensitivity is a welcome benefit. No more grinding of magnets and and adding shims for me”
“Hall Sensors detect the strength of a magnet. I have aligned three in a row and can estimate the location of a magnet as it passes over them (in a straight line) with a clearance of, say, 5 cm. The sensors are under a plastic cover. Hall sensors are an upgrade from using reed switches which only tell if the magnet is close.
My experience is I am not able to adjust the sensitivity and thus sticking with the factory settings.”
