“Does not appear to meet current consumption specification in the off state. Devices pull around 817, 821 and 855 uA for the 3 that I purchased ( with the display off and the backlight configured to off also at room temperature 5 V supply). Expected current consumption as per the datasheet of less than 800 uA over the full temperature range. Not great for battery powered designs.

SN3193 datasheet not provided on links, found one, but it poorly written and software enable bit was inverted. Otherwise, the display(s) work well.”
“Excellent, currently serving as an office desk clock (note the no expense spared box) with the date format day/month/year as any decent person would want it but hard to find. Inside is a pico and a buzzer chiming the hours.”
“This one is not up to spec with similar products available. Not just that it needs it's own library which uses different logic than the usual lcd.print() but also the contrast is dire and is sluggish (yes is I2C, I know but I have others that are much better).
And as cherry on the cake there is no option to change the (faint) contrast.”
