“Brilliant little HAT for Pi Zero 2W. The display is vibrant and good for my purpose of building a tiny handheld for a custom game. Buttons are responsive and feel good to touch. The only slight minus is that the HAT comes without standoffs and has M2 screw holes vs standard M2.5 for Pi Zero. Apart from that, very happy with the purchase”

“Turns my Pi into a mini game console just by plugging it into the GPIO pins.”

“Pretty solid. The speaker whines and clicks a little as the load on the Pi’s CPU changes, even when not playing audio. Audio via the headphone jack is crystal clear. The mounting holes are M2, not M2.5 as is normal. The buttons feel clunky at first but bed in after a while and feel noticeably better. Screen is clear and bright, power consumption is low, the provided documentation has some gaps but you can work through them.”

“Hi So far I have not had time to load the system The problem is that the device lies flat on the table, it would be nice to have some kind of support that facilitates its use and another problem is that it needs cable to operate, that takes away the functionality of being portable. The service and delivery have been excellent and for this, I am very grateful. Thank you :) Miquel”

“The product doesn’t come with any instructions in the box, so my son had to search around to figure out how to get it working. The screen is very small, which makes the text hard to read. However, once it’s up and running, it definitely looks and sounds like Pac-Man. I would recommend that the seller send an email with instructions when the purchase is made.”

“Good, but DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRILL OUT THE MOUNTING HOLES TO M3. The mounting holes are M2 or M2.5, and despite having the white circle isolation mark around the mounting holes (which is supposed to indicate a safe area), the trace for the Left button runs right through this circle and close by the lower left mounting hole. If you drill this hole out to M3 size, to match the hardware on the RPi (and every other hat.....), you will cut the trace to the Left button and you'll need to buy another board. To Waveshare's credit, the hat comes with M2.5 standoffs and bolts, but having a trace run through the mounting hole null area is a serious oversight. I'm now a button down while I wait for this to restock.”
