“Case is OK. Clear instruction would have been useful. I agree the connector expansion board needs the extra standoff between the two HDMI connectors which I fitted.
I didn't use the supplied m.2 board as it only had 2 standoffs. I used another board which I mounted on top off the Pi5 board using 4 x 16mm 2.5mm standoffs.”
“Works great! Perfect for our industrial use case. Everything we need fits neatly inside (heat sink and fan, and clock battery). Much better than our previous approaches with a SATA to USB adapter and a 2.5" SSD.”
“This is a great case, 4 stars because there was no information or warnings with the kit. During assembly i managed to crush the hdmi connectors on the dvi/power extension pba. Decided to take the assembly damage on board and ordered second kit. (Had the idea i could use it for my now redundant Pi4 and build a Nas) Yes that was possible with a little alteration here and there. Totally pleased now have two great Pi products. Will add internal nvme and transfer external nvme to the nas, job done.”
“The 8 screws/threads to assemble the 2 connectors panels are very tight and one broke. The rest is ok. But I will never buy anything again at Pi Hut. I had to pay 30 euros custom fees. That should be warned better on the website when ordering”
“It throttles WIFI. It works OK if I am in the same room as the router using 2.4g (5g did not seem to work well). IF
If I used it in other rooms the Internet was very slow. Its the price you pay for having it in a nice metal box. You could try using an external USB antenna. Apart from this I think it is fantastic, it gets rid of those stupid little hdmi sockets. You can access the sd card slot and the side of the case has a slot to take a ribbon cable.”
“I have bought three of these for the Raspberry Pis used at home, excellent kit. I have the Pi cooling fan unit on the Pi, and I get no issues with heat.”
