Combined this with a 24GHz mmWave presence sensor. Used ESPHome Builder (in Home Assistant) to generate the code, and in no time I had a presence sensor + zigbee router device. It has been in operation for a few days now. I'm totally hooked on Home Assistant and I am amazed at what can be done with very little time/skill.

Nice board, but as of now (April 2026) not a good choice for working with HomeAssistant - Zigbee support is apparently "experminental" and I wasted hours trying to get my YAML to compile via ESPHome. When I did, it ran a few days and then failed because an external component had been taken down. Gemini is suggesting that I edit a component of HomeAssistant to cope with version differences - there may be better approaches but this was the best solution I could find. For anyone without indepth knowledge or in a hurry, solid, simple HomeAssistnat to ESP32 integration looks better done using an ESP32 board that supports Wifi - (or perhaps Matter/Thread on the H2)
