“This cable worked out of the box with no explicit driver install on Windows 11. It enumerated and functioned with memory integrity protection enabled, which was something I saw some doubts about online when trying to select a product of this class to buy. I Was able to use it with a Cisco-style DB9 to RJ45 rollover cable (which I soldered based on Cisco's own wiring documentation) to get a connection on a Ubiquiti Edge Switch console port. Construction is sturdy. Feels like something from the early 2000s.”
