“Great little display, bought for use with a Pico via Thonny.
There's a .zip of sample code intended for a full Pi (LCD_Module_RPI_code.zip linked from the Wiki page) which has some Python code, but it relies on NumPi which isn't part of Micropython. There's also a link titled "Demo example" to a .zip ("LCD_Module_code.zip") containing Python code suitable for a Pico, but unfortunately not targeting this exact display. I've put together a script addressing the different dimensions (and a few other things) available here: https://gist.github.com/CodingForPico/56e8c47fdc048422ad5685b605812d03”
“Great little full colour LCD. Currently using it to show animation and there is no lag as the frames are displayed. Can be a bit fiddley get the drivers and install to work, but I think this is down to Waveshares' wiki. Or, maybe it is just me! Good screen though is the point I am trying to get across.”
“This company is awesome! They shipped the product within 15 mins after the order. They have a really good customer support! Definitely will buy more things from them.”
“Nice little display - very very compact board - only a tiny bit bigger than the display itself. Display is great quality and resolution 240x280x16bit. Doesn't need the reset line or the backlight line and comes with a handy connector. For 60fps full screen you need high speed SPI - 240x280x2x60 = 8Mbytes/sec = 100MBits SPI speed. So it's great if you want quality UI with cached area updates - not so good for full frame 60fps stuff - unless you manage small hiqh quality cables and your MCU supports that speed.”
“Great little display and like the fact that the whole module is only a tj y fraction raction bigger than the screen
Excellent service too, ordered late afternoon and courier woke me up before 8am next morning delivering it.”
