The display documentation linked from the PiHut product page contained code libraries and examples that made it easy to get started and to display images on the screen.
The (relatively) low resolution of the screen does mean that it can be hard to render fine detail, and I had to work a bit to find a font that would render nicely on lower resolutions, but for slightly larger graphics the screen is absolutely brilliant.
The refresh of the screen is as advertised ( ~5 seconds), and as far as I can tell it doesn't support partial redraws, so it will flash back and forth a few times when rendering a new image. On the other hand, since this is e-ink, it doesn't take any power to hold the image for long periods of time, so applications with slower refresh rates are better suited for this display.”
“Very good build quality, haven't been able to test it yet though, otherwise most likely 5 stars. Easily connected together with the Universal e-Paper Raw Panel Driver HAT, which I bought along with this.
