“Arrived and upon unpacking a couple of the pi mounts were slightly bent but no real issues as the straightened ok with a little pressure
Very easy to assemble but the m3.5 holes on pi mounts aren’t compatible with PoE supplied fittings so needed to use different standoffs, thankfully I had some m3.5 standoffs!
The supplied fans, I found are very noisy and run constantly! I’ve disconnected them and monitor my systems temps
I’m looking at making a temperature and speed control system for the fans so I can hear my radio in my workshop
A provided temperature control system for the fans, quieter ones, would make this a fantastic project!
Overall it is robust and very easy to assemble and suits my needs, apart from the noisy fans, hence the 4 star rating”
“Great enclosure, exactly what I was looking for. Finally, I was able to organize my Raspberry Pi cluster. The enclosure works for both models, 4 and 5, without issue.”
“Nice design, I've fitted a couple of Pi 4 boards, both with official poe+ hats and they fit with plenty of room to spare.
I would have liked the (many!) screw holes to have been prethreaded. I needed to use quite a lot of force to fit the screws and they're not all as straight as I'd like.
Pro tip: Turns out the cross head driver in my Swiss Army Knife was exactly the right size, and the wide handle gives plenty of torque.”
“A really excellent case, but the fans sound like an F16 engine! I have replaced them with two Noctua NF-A8 PWM fans and now there is absolute silence.”
“This works perfectly, hopefully it will fit a PI 5 when it arrives but currently i have 3 4bs, running pihole, pivpn, a lamp server stack and a small Nas with jellyfin.”
