“Accurately machined, and well thought out for attaching a 2.5" SATA SSD under a Pi4 in an ArgonONE case. It would be useful if it actually screwed to the base of the ArgonONE case, rather than relying on gravity holding the two items together, and using just the Argon case's rubber feet in the (accurately fitting) holes in the SSD base enclosure. Still - it works very well as it is. Do remember NOT to overtighten the plastic screws/pillars - finger tight is enough! (BTW: The SSD Base fits the ArgonONE Pi4 case v.1 OR v.2.)”
“Perfect to house your ssd, the argon case sits on top with four nodules, no screws involved, it looks neat and does not spoil the look of your gear, highly recommended from the Pihut.”
“Easy to assemble but only fault is that the spacers are just a little to short. This may be because an ssd is slimmer and I am using a hdd but maybe just add two different lengths of spacers
Would have knocked 1/2 star off if I could.”
“Fantastic, clean clear and simple to set up.
Pros
- Cheap
- Easy to Build
- Fits the Argon One case perfectly (not that is says this bit also fits with the msata expansion for Argon too)
Cons
- 3d printed screws and standoffs so don't over tighten (rip I used a ratchet screwdriver with the ratchet the wrong way round so when it started spinning it was in but wouldn't strip the screws)”
“Simple solution for adding an SSD to your Pi - easy to put together (although the screws and standoffs are a bit fiddly for fat fingers!!)
SSD to USB cable/adaptors are quite bulky though, so you will need a bit of space behind the case on your desk - although not really a fault of the product!”
