“I wasnt aware from the description that this was a case for both a Raspberry Pi and Sense HAT, I was looking for just a Sense HAT case.
However my son has used half the case for the Sense HAT, which will protect it.”

I'd suggest a stand alone case for the Sense Hat.
I've used my case simply for the Sense Hat and another case for the Rpi3B+.”
