“Arrived promptly. I found it very difficult to assemble because of the small screws, my eyesight and clumsy fingers.
once assembled it is fine but I found it difficult to change the ribbon cable when swapping it from a pi4 to a pi zero.”
“I'll try to keep it simple. The acrylic is good quality, the design/ appearance isn't that bad (although it could use slightly more clearance for the camera mount/ slider). It supports the V2 Raspberry Pi camera and the side panel 'struts' also provide some 'slack' for the cable. However, as the screws and nuts are made of plastic and not metal (in addition to being extremely small and hard to find if you end up dropping them, which you likely will), this can result in the assembly process taking almost an hour or more simply due to the 'fiddliness' of the screws. The threads are not always 'clean' at the end so getting the threads started was a huge pain. As you're threading the nuts on there is a decent amount of resistance and it feels as if you're cross-threading them. I did finally manage to get the thing completely assembled but ended up going with another case instead as it was more suited to my needs (and only required 2 parts to assemble). I feel like the plastic screws could be replaced with metal ones and the extra 'spacer' nuts could be replaced with nylon/ plastic washers to protect the acrylic. The kit would end up being much easier and quicker to assemble.
Ok, maybe I didn't keep it THAT simple. Oh well ;)”
“This is just what I wanted as couldn’t find a movable Pi camera stand anyway. But after browsing came across The Pi Hut and problem was solved. Excellent fast friendly service from The Pi hut as it was my first time in buying from them and shall certainly be back”
