Sleek and stylish design keeps pi temperatures very low while running it as a NAS off an NVMExpreas drive

Works well. Originally I used the plastic case with fan, but the fan was a noisy little blighter, not suitable for my quiet study. The pi now runs about 5⁰C hotter but still well within limits. Worth it for the quiet running.

This thing gets almost too hot to hold. Can you imagine how hot the chips get WITHOUT it?

Does what it says on the tin!

Works perfectly. So easy now to travel with the pi in a pocket, the power unit in an other. I have my computer with me everywhere.

As a heatsink/case combo, these devices work fantastically. But I came across an oddity having purchased several for a project, with Raspberry Pi 4s. It seems there is some interaction between such an aluminium case and USB3 ports, resulting in significant wifi issues. See this ref. on the Pi forums: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1683671#p1683468 The workaround was either to buy separate wifi dongles or move the USB disk to a USB2 port - the performance loss I don't think is really noticeable. I can't "blame" the heatsink/case for this entirely, of course, as it's a complex combination of factors, but it's worth being aware of the issue.

As a case it is very nice. For cooling in my tests the FanShim was far more effective. This case can be uncomfortably hot to the touch.

Really solid and does work judging by how warm it gets, I'd much rather the heatsink gets hot than just the board, very happy with it and will be buying more with each Pi I get.
