“A fab case for the pi 4 - I had a pi 4 in an argon eon, which had become redundant. This allowed me to liberate the pi from the huge case and now it's the size of a pack of playing cards. The case feels solid and I love the effectiveness of the passive cooling. It is now running headless and silently. Great value too.”
“Nice case, I’m sure it works as intended but I bought it for the pitray mini + cm4 - and that’s not a combination that works with this case because of the metal heatsinks that comes down and clashes with the cm4 processor.
4/5 because it doesn’t fit with the cm4, maybe I could have researched that better, but also - maybe it could be clearer on the website that they don’t fit together.”
“As a heatsink, this case is very good. Even after a prolonged period of operation, the Pi stays just warm to the touch. However, only 4 stars because the case won’t allow a 40 pin ribbon plug to be used for GPIO access. Recommended though if you don’t need to breakout all 40 pins.”
“Great passive heat sink, once properly installed, with a room temperature of 20 degree (Celsius), the CPU/GPU temperature was not crossing 55 degrees under a persistent load of FHD video decoding.
The only non-functional bit that could be improved is documenting the process of installation including details of pealing protective film from provided thermal conducting stickers and quick word why there are more stickers in the box than heat points.”
“Very good product - lowered my temps by about ten degrees c
Be wary though, if you tighten the screws too much it can cause the board to flex which might not be desirable for those who are overprotective of their Pis”
