“Great little sensor, hooked it up to a Pico2, and it did just what I wanted, once i realised it is open collector, so needs the GPIO pin as an input with a pull up, or provide your own external pull up.
If you don't do this, you'll just see 0.5v all the time, as per the first review, which claimed the sensor was faulty. It might well have been, but its the failure mode is exactly what would happen without a pull-up...”
