“Really useful board with good documentation and hookup guides available from SparkFun.
A word of caution, though, if trying to use this with a 3.3V decvice, though - the docs say the board will work from 2.7-5.5V and that’s true for the HX711 chip, but the resistors they’ve chosen to use on the breakout mean the board won’t work correctly with supplies below about ~4.3V - correct function requires replacing a tiny SMD resistor to get the load cell excitation voltage below 3.3V (this took me an age to work out for my LiPo-powered Pi Pico project!).
There’s a write up of the 3.3V problem here (for a different board, but same issue): https://hackaday.io/project/1741-honeybee-hive-monitoring/log/9780-modifying-the-hx711-breakout-board-for-33v-operation”
