“Very easy to set up and get it going. Used some AI to get a basic bit of code to do what I want and then tweaked it to get what I wanted. Used this with a Waveshare 8 relay board and made a web UI to switch various relays on/off as necessary. Hope to mod it a little to add some sensor input as well in the future.”
“A great little device that's well capable for my IoT project as a gateway between ATMega328P controlled sensors that use nRF24L01+ modultes for the local communication to the Pico (which also has an nRF24 module connected of course and is the "gateway") and the Pico's WiFi to talk to the cloud part of the system.
The Pico is nicely made (shame the pin legends get obscured by the header, but nothing looking at documentation can't cure) and functionally very capable and reliable.
I have already bought more, without headers though as I only needed to breadboard the prototype. A great MCU.”
“The Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W microcontroller is a great microcontroller for all sorts of applications. I am using these for various projects to automate tasks around the house, such as controlling greenhouse watering systems and garage door control. There are so many projects online with so much good documentation. Getting the Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W With Headers also saves a lot of soldering faff, for which (in my mind) is well worth paying a little extra.
The PiHut also offer great prices (often cheaper than Amazon and buying from PiHut supports a trusted UK company rather than some egregiously overpromoted US billiionaire) – packaging was good and delivery fast. Definitely recommended.”
