New to Home assistant. I had a smooth installation and ample speed for home assistant with the Lite edition with my supplied SSD.

It's fast, it's small, it's cute, it's a Compute Module 5! Seriously though, this thing kicks ass, and every time you look at it you get to alternately go "awww, it's so cute", or "when did computers get this small?"

The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5) is a powerful system-on-module designed for embedded applications, building on the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi 5. It features a quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor, dual 4Kp60 HDMI outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, and optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. With various RAM and eMMC flash options, including cost-effective 'Lite' versions, it's suitable for budget-conscious projects. The CM5 boasts enhanced I/O interfaces for greater design flexibility and maintains the same form factor as the CM4 with two 100-pin high-density connectors for easy integration. However, it can generate considerable heat during operation, so adequate cooling solutions are crucial for optimal performance. The CM5 is versatile for embedded projects, combining impressive features with firm performance.

Upgraded my Home Assistant yellow from CM4. Using this CM5 with the Raspberry Pi SSD, Add-on updates, core restarts and ESPhome builds are notably faster. Very happy!
