“I don't know if it was tge 8Gb of memory I got or the NVME drive but the Pi5 is so much faster than the Pi4. Took a bit of putting together with my pasty hands and the bits being so small but it was worth it :)”
“I had the Pi4 and thought it was a bit of a spend as there was not going to be much of a difference! Oh how wrong I was - This is an amazing fast bit of kit and it is easy to forget the size of this and that its NOT your normal computer. The lightning fast boot and shutdown is just great. The graphics are amazing and do not slow the Pi down at all. I now have three Pi 5's as one is now running my NAS using OMV. One is for a games only and the other is just my main shack PC.
The 8GB memory is a truly amazing, making all tasks just easy and slick. A good job has been done on this for the size and price.”
“I think the Raspberry Pi is great. I have a Windows PC which I never use, an iMac which I also use, but if I didn't have an iMac, I would simply use the Pi 5 for almost everything. Users should note to buy printers that can handle PDF files, but I really wish Flat Bed scanners worked with it, but an RPi Camera can be used as a substitute. I use the Intellij IDEA Java IDE on my Mac, but I now believe it may be possible to run it on the Pi 5. I hope so. I also use an Iiyama 4K monitor with it. Affordable computing.”
