The pins feel better supported than on a manually soldered version (partly due to my soldering, see image). I think this version is certainly worth the extra pennies if you plan to solder pins on the Pico at some point.

Only (minor) problem was that as a newbie, I expected the Pico to come with a micro lead. Having thought about it, it is a bit obvious but it would have helped me if there had been note to say that it doesn't include a lead, and offering a lead as an additional item. Other than that, everything about buying this was great.

It's a Pico! The header is stronger than others because of the cross bracing - a good design feature. The Pico has a socket for the SWD pins which saves soldering in one's own header, but needs a separate SWD cable to be ordered. It would be helpful is the shop description made this clear, or just part of the package.

A great microcontroller. It’s quite powerful, and can handle what we throw at it. The headers are very neat, and well-applied.

Works really well, and setup is pretty easy (though you need to make sure your micro-usb cable isn't charge-only).
