“I have a monitor on my desk connected to an old windows PC which has an unused VGA port on the back, so I thought I would try one of these so I have a bigger screen ( I have the 5" RPI touch display 2 connected as well). The cable worked straight out of the box no need to change anything apart from the display settings as the monitor showed everything, but the touch display only display a portion of the screen. Changed resolution of the HDMI settings which changed the screen size of the Pi screen perfectly.”
