“This is a great addition to anyone's Raspberry Pi setup. I use mine for RetroPie, on a Raspberry Pi 3 with a cooling fan attached. Before I got this power supply I was running my Pi from usb ports on nearby electronics and I was always getting the low power icon on the screen and usually ended up with a corrupted install. Since using this power supply I haven't had those problems. The Pi really needs the extra amperage that this and other power supplies deliver, especially if you are running a cooling fan and a number of usb peripherals. The extra leads that come with this universal kit are a nice touch too, now I can use my Pi anywhere, not just in here in Canada. The only negatives that I can think of are very minor. The power supply is kind of big, so plan to put it in the last plugin on your power bar. I also would have preferred if it was black in color. The power supply was shipped immediately, was well packaged and arrived quickly. I would recommend this for anybody's Pi setup, but more so if you plan to add power hungry peripherals.”
