“When I bought my first Pi to become a data feed for FlightRadar24 I intended to use an old phone charger. The more I read about the subject and the more I thought about it, the more I felt it made more sense to buy a proper psu to do the job. I checked prices and specs and this was easily the best option. I only wish I’d bought it at the same time as buying the Pi and save on delivery costs!”

“I scoured an online retailer to find the likes of this and no joy.
Either it was not enough apperage or the cable was sticking out the surface of the plug or from the top; I needed it to stick from the bottom (which makes more sense for UK sockets - but also my use-case).
This was perfect and delivery was no issue either; though there were custom's charges on the way into Ireland - which was expected I guess but not obvious at the cart checkout.
