“I saw another review which said that it's the same as model B+ with fewer USB ports and less RAM. Note that it also does not have an ethernet port. Hopefully buyers are already aware of this but it may be useful to see this as part of the reviews section.”
“The version A+ is awesome for my project : Wifi Radio instead of my old radio with antenna ! I will may be bought another RPI A+ with camera for my next project : Bat house ! See you soon !”
“Beautifully designed and improved Raspberry Pi. Almost a work of art in it's Pibow Coupe Royale case.
Lots more GPIO outs and ins without the complication of wired ethernet or surplus USB sockets. Wireless dongles work fine.
Couple of points to watch out for
1.Pins 3,5 are now used for SDA1/SCL1 and SDA0/SCL0 are moved to 27,28 and are tied up with some top-hat shield arrangement. However if you want to continue using pins 3, 5 and use the Adafruit _I2C file, then the instructions for hard-coding the bus selection are there in the comments and appear to work without problems.
2. You'll need an adapter cable 40 way to 26 if you intend to use original 26 way GPIO boards. Beware and don't be fooled by some of the ribbon cables having their rainbow colours wired upside down. But then at these prices Raspberry pi's are indeed expenable.”
“The Raspberry Model A+ is identical to the B+ except for only having 256MB of memory and being significantly smaller. It is ideal for robotics and embedded applications and the price is outstanding.”
