“This works well out of the box, just plugged it in. Fine for zoom calls thus proving the Pi (4) is fine for working /learning at home. You may need to ensure adequate ventilation for your pi as it works hard doing zoom. I used a standard case with the clip in fan and a small stick on heat sink. Temp has not been a problem at all with this rig. All this is really easy to do. I am hoping to use the camera for some wildlfe shots by putting it on the end of a stick with a USB extension lead. May come back on this.”
“Could not get the mic working at all with Pi 400. Camera was OK, but a bit washed-out.
Pi Hut service, however, was excellent, and they agreed a refund with no problems. So 5 * for Pi Hut!”
“The webcam is very inexpensive which is a big plus.
However the quality of the video and fixed focus meant that it was not suitable for my needs. The LEDs meant it was not possible to add supplementary lenses to reduce the focal length of the camera.
Probably okay for basic standard use.
Flickering under standard household LED illumination was quite intrusive on Zoom meetings.”
