“It's a HDMI cable. It works. Seems durable. (I'm sure there's some packaging reason why there's no regular HDMI port, but it would've better to have the regular port.)”
“I purchased this cable because i was having problems getting my HDMI monitor to display correctly with the recent updates to the bullseye and bookworm versions of the RPi operating system. It turned out to be due to my older generic HDMI cable not being able to transmit the EDID data of the monitor to the RPi. I reconnected with this new cable and the information was correctly read and the monitor automatically set to the correct resolution. The newer operating systems rely on this hardware data exchange for correct set up and older or inferior HDMI cables do not always provide the connections to do this.”
