“The Pi4 runs much hotter than previous models, and it really needs active cooling. My Pi4 without a case idles at 57'C. My Pi4 in this case idles at 68'C. As soon as you start doing any kind of light load, you very quickly hit 80'C at which point it throttles back the CPU, thus negating the greatest benefit of the new Pi - it's speed.
Wait for a decent case with an option for active cooling.”
“The case is good quality and easy to use. However, the device kept showing heating warnng signs on a hot summer day (wile in the shade). This stopped when I took it out of the case.”

“The case design and feel is beautiful, but there is no way you will use it in day to day with the lid closed. Pi gets extremely hot inside. Skip this case and get one of the cheap, ventilated ones from other sources”
