“The case is fine, robust and fits as well as you would expect from official channels. The case does keep a little too much heat from the 4 4gb rig. Order cooling, active or passive if you order this and you won’t go wrong.”
“The case helps to protect the Pi but since putting it into the case I get a thermometer constantly flashing at the top-right of the screen and the device feels dangerously hot although still works. All it is doing is running the PI software and displaying a webpage fullscreen. Unsure what I can do about it aside from leaving it out of the case which is not practical.”
“It’s a nice little case and easy to put together but unfortunately it’s essentially useless for the Pi 4 as it simply does not offer enough cooling. With the lid on temperatures exceed 70c whilst just sat at idle.
I only used it for a day before removing the lid (which dropped temperature to 60c) then ordering and fitting the flirc case instead (which dropped temperatures to 50c).”
