“Beautifully designed case. Perfect for most projects. It give easy access to every ports and GPIO pins. Perfect if you use the Pi Camera or HATs.
However temperature management might become an issue for heavy users in desktop mode.
This is the best looking case out there. I only wish that a fan mount with side exhaust was part of the top molded part.”
“This is inexpensive and protects the board but lacks any form of ventilation, hence only 4 stars. Being plastic, ventilation holes could easily be drilled but should have been provided in my opinion.”
“This is well and thoughtfully designed case, in which the pi fits snugly, the usb ports fit evenly and the side ports are sit in a recess to provide extra protection. The little rubber feet provide stability and stop the case from sliding off the table, which I have experienced with some other cases. The overall look of this case is snazzy in both colour sets. I would recommend this case.”
“Worse than useless, it trapped the heat and made an oven!.
I then bought an Aluminium Armour heatsink case, which works extremely well. Wi-Fi isn't blocked, as I'd feared.
I installed:
$ sudo apt-get install stress
and ran:
$ stress -c 4
This loaded all four cores to 100% and after an hour in a 19C ambient, held the CPU temperature to 68C, even though it was running at 1500MHz.
Use:
$ htop
to see the core loading.”
