This is my first Pi 4 and yes they do run warmer than the Pi 3 - I had to go elsewhere for a passive cooling case, because for a 'fit and forget' backup and remote access system I wanted to avoid the reliability and maintenance issues connected with using a fan. Time will tell if that's a good choice.”
