“What a fantastic bit of tech for the price. I’ve turned mine into a CCTV server with Shinobi running locally and 24fps 1080p with movement / shape detection it’s only using 20% CPU and running at 45degrees *admittedly did get a fancy metal case with a great little tower cooler, but the fan barely ever has to come on as it’s set to do so at 60C. Very happy to have it running 24/7 with a very negligible increase on my electric bill.
Easy to setup, the Raspberry Pi OS changes are a bit more of a hurdle than they used to be, however the increased security and efficiency is definitely worth it.
