“Does exactly what it says. Loaded the Raspberry Pi OS no problem. Loaded Ubuntu (to a different SD card!) no problem. Upgraded to Xubuntu (XFCE desktop) no problem. Using Lexar 633x 32Gb micro SD cards - excellent performance at a very cheap price (as noted by youtube channel Explaining Computers). This really all you need n a home computer (unless you have demanding needs). A USB SSD would be a bit faster but would it really be that noticeable for emails and browsing? This boots as fast as my physically vastly larger desktop machine with 8Gb ram, AMD FX-8300 Eight-Core Processor running Linux Mint . . . I think that the writing is on the wall and I'm looking forward to getting my desk back.”
“Solid performance for what I use. Straightforward installation. Should have gotten the official power adapter. Encountered some issues with a 2A phone charger and heavy use. Otherwise, Pihole, VPN, samba, and some ocasional retrogaming without a glitch.
Plan to start some home automation with it.”
“A great little board, I have 3 running now in a Kubernetes cluster and thanks to the pi 4 is very powerful. Cooling has not been an issue with some heat-sinks and a fan it sits at ~40deg.”
