“I have ordered over half a dozen different models of Rpi’s from the Pi hut and am never disappointed. After they arrive at my door, I always think I should’ve bought one more. The quality is great, the price is reasonable and the packaging protects the boards despite many hops and courier companies involved in getting to me from outside the U.K. The raspberry pi 4 is more than capable for my different home projects. This one is already hard at work, paired with a HiFiberry DAC+ Pro and loaded with Volumio as an amazingly high quality audio streaming device in my living room.”
“I use this as a dedicated music streamer (using Ropieee), and the 2GB RAM is not limiting for this application. Otherwise I usually get the 4GB or 8GB models instead.”
“I needed a small computer with low power draw to host a small web server, and this ticks both of those boxes. With this being my first RPi, I can't speak of its performance over previous models, but as a web server it can easily serve a dozen 4k images at once without any trouble whatsoever - assuming the network it's attached to can handle it.
My only gripe is temperatures - the Pi runs surprisingly hot, even when idle, so it's recommended that you buy a cooling HAT or a case with integrated cooling for it.”
