“I use 2 Raspberry Pi's, one, the 2GB variant as a smarthomeserver with openHAB. This controls with 3 wireless transceivers and wifi just under 50 smarthome devices.
The Raspi has enough power reserves and for a price of about 150€ the fun costs just as much as a Homematic CCU and is much more flexible and powerful.
The second, a 4GB variant I use with openmediavault as a cloud server for data, calendar, phone book incl. sync. of three Android phones. It also runs Plex Mediaserver for movie and music streaming. The Pi manages four 2.5" HDD's via USB, two each in a Raid1 mirror.
There are still performance reserves here as well.
I have been using the Raspi since the first version and have always been satisfied. Let's see what the Raspi 5 has to offer ;-)”
“I would say "it's great" but... I never received my stuffs. Today's 30rd day after the package is stopped in Germany and the target address is in Italy...
I would recommend you, as "small vendor" to think about policies on delivery timings and delivery companies. "Wait 20 working days before claim... It's not enough for someone already payed, maybe also overpriced"
How are you thinking to challenge competitors on that aspect? You're an online retailer... Your success is the way you reach customers physically.
What do you expect will be my satisfaction when i will receive my package? I will need to ask someone to ship the raspberry to another address since I'm not there anymore.. and so on.”
“Perfect Pi, great performance at a great price and made easy to buy from PiHut with super fast delivery....I need to stop buying these now though...what number of Pi's is too many?”
