I only brought the basic version as using it as a OpenWrt router so 2GB is plenty... It works great, never breaks a sweat and is super stable.

Bought this for my brother for his 18th birthday it was exactly what he wanted and arrived very quickly despite delivery being to a remote part of Scotland!

Great piece of kit I highly reccomend getting one, even for just learning how to control a computer remotely or setting up a small webserver, now that I've bought one I can realise the flexibilty of the Pi and am anticipating using mine A LOT in the coming years.

This opens up so many possibilities. My first adventure is to create a PiCore player to stream and receive music from all over the house and internet radio. I can trust the 4 because I know the Pi hut will test the supplies before selling.

Great little board for all my projects, especially now it’s easy to set up USB booting. My only regret is not buying the 4GB or the 8GB version.

So far so good. Set up as a general purpose surver hosting a load of services (PiHole/DHCP, InfluxDB, SteamLink, Grafana), none needed any particularly powerful hardware but having the onboard ethernet is a nice option over the WiFi. I was surprised how warm the unit runs even under light load, or even just idling. Never seen it below 40 deg. C even when fitted into the Aluminium Armour heatsink/case. Overall a very capable little computer.

Bought this to create a NAS with backup, which it does a great job of. SSD boot should help with reliability and I'm also using it as a web server for testing. One thing that did catch me out is that the USB ports don't have the power to run the two external hard drives I have so I had to buy a powered USB hub but I can't mark it down because that was just a lack of research on my part.
